I was born in a suburb on the outskirts of East London within the county of Essex. As an adult I moved away, but later returned to serve the community working as a London Firefighter. I never planned to become an author, however, I found writing about my experiences as a child and later about the untimely death of my wife really helped with the grieving process. I hope that my story will help and encourage others to talk about their grief and loved ones. It’s okay not to be okay!

SPECIAL THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE PURCHASED MY BOOK AND SUPPORTED ME ON MY AUTHOR JOURNEY.

When I was writing my book LOVE BEYOND LOVE, I made the decision that should it ever get published, I would donate my author royalties to two charities.

Recently I donated £600 author royalties that I received from November 2022 to November 2023 to the following charities.

The Fire Fighters Charity:

The charity offers lifelong support for UK firefighters and their families.

Over the years I have received physiotherapy, which at the the time enabled me to return to full duties following a work related injury.

My late wife and I were able to have rest and recuperation stays at one of the centres, during her treatment.

Since my wife's death I have had further recuperation stays with my children.

I have also received grief counselling from the charity. After losing my wife and both parents in less than two years, I found it to be really helpful.

The Fire Fighters Charity is there for me always, and knowing that I can pick up the phone anytime for support, is my comfort blanket.

See the case study below.

Cancer Research UK:

(copied from Cancer Research UK website)

'Over the last 40 years, cancer survival in the UK has doubled. In the 1970s just 1 in 4 people survived their disease for 10 years or more. Today 2 in 4 survive.

Our ambition is to accelerate progress and see 3 in 4 patients surviving the disease by 2034.'

I have received letters of thanks from both charities.

I will continue to promote my book and attend book signing and events, and together we can support these wonderful charities.

Thank you so much.
