I was born in a suburb on the outskirts of East London within the county of Essex. As an adult I moved away, but later returned to serve the community working as a London Firefighter. I never planned to become an author, however, I found writing about my experiences as a child and later about the untimely death of my wife really helped with the grieving process. I hope that my story will help and encourage others to talk about their grief and loved ones. It’s okay not to be okay!

'It's Coming Home'!!

22nd July 2023, I returned to the village of Writtle where my late wife, Sharon and I lived. We spent many hours sitting on that bench overlooking the duck pond.

It was the annual village fair and I had the pleasure of being part of the fun day. The weather started out fine but by early afternoon the heavens opened and it absolutely tipped it down. However, it didn't stop the lovely people from popping by my stall, for a friendly chat and to purchase signed copies of my book.

I'm looking forward to returning for this years Writtle Village Fair on Saturday 6th July 2024.
