I was born in a suburb on the outskirts of East London within the county of Essex. As an adult I moved away, but later returned to serve the community working as a London Firefighter. I never planned to become an author, however, I found writing about my experiences as a child and later about the untimely death of my wife really helped with the grieving process. I hope that my story will help and encourage others to talk about their grief and loved ones. It’s okay not to be okay!

HARVEST TIME AT THE STUDIO.

September 2023

Being originally from a town, I never really understood or appreciated the amount of work that our farmers have to do, to provide the food on our tables.

All year I have been watching this crop of wheat grow, first breaking through the surface, as small green shoots, almost looking like a freshly cut football pitch. Then turning a golden colour in the warm sunshine. I've witnessed the farmers tend to their crops, making sure that we get the best quality.

Here we are today, harvest time. Big combines, cutting and sorting the grains from the chaff throwing out lots of dust as they move past the studio. I have not been this close to agricultural vehicles before and it's quite exciting to watch.

Thank you farmers for all your hard work. I now appreciate what you have to do.
