I was born in a suburb on the outskirts of East London within the county of Essex. As an adult I moved away, but later returned to serve the community working as a London Firefighter. I never planned to become an author, however, I found writing about my experiences as a child and later about the untimely death of my wife really helped with the grieving process. I hope that my story will help and encourage others to talk about their grief and loved ones. It’s okay not to be okay!

A chilly Boxing Day walk - 26th December 2022

My partner, Gill, and I had a lovely walk along Dunwich beach today, stopping for tea and cake sitting in our camping chairs.

I take many photos when on our travels, I like to look back on them and I get inspiration from them for my writing.

The fallen tree….

“I have travelled many nautical miles to reach my final resting place. My home was a tropical island, daytime sun, and dark nights. My branches almost touching space. The storm came and took me away, oh how I miss that perfect place”.
